In 2000, Universolar opened its doors in the renewable energy sector. The company began with installation of solar water heating systems in homes around the island of Kauai. After experiencing rapid growth, the company expanded its services to offer solar electric systems. In 2008, the company announced its expansion into the commercial market to keep up with industry growth and respond to high demand.
